This will be a short newsletter because I've run out of time before leaving for the Romance Writers of America conference in Dallas, but I wanted to get this out so that those of you in the Dallas area would be reminded of the big literary signing on Wednesday. I'm also going to be signing books in Plano on Saturday.. First, the RWA event. It's on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at the The Adam's Mark Hotel, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m, though many authors sell out of books by 7, so I suggest coming as early as you can. Admission is free.. Now, Plano. "The Collin Creek Mall in Plano will take a trip to the time of Napoleon and Jane Austen when over a dozen historical romance authors descend on the Waldenbooks on Saturday, July 31. The bookstore, one of the largest sellers of romance in the chain, will be sponsoring a booksigning from 11:00am to 3:00pm.. Scheduled to attend are Jennifer Ashley, Blair Bancroft, Carrie Bebris, Jo Beverley, Cheryl Bolen, Kathryn Caskie, Shannon Donnelly, Ashley Gardner, Candice Hern, Victoria Hinshaw, Eloisa James, Sabrina Jeffries, Allison Lane, Amanda McCabe, Sophia Nash, Julia Parks, Regina Scott, and Nonnie St. George.". I'll be there from 11-11:30. Please contact the store for details about other authors.. I'll also be at a signing in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 21st. This has just come up so I don't have all the details, but it will be in the Hollywood area. It's connected to the 20th anniversary of the Writers of the Future contest, and some of you came out to meet me last time I was there for an event. As there won't be another newsletter before then, if you think you might like to attend this signing, please e-mail me and I'll send you the information when I have it.. click here to e-mail about the Hollywood signing The only writing news is that I think I've found Simon St. Bride, the missing Rogue, and he seems to be in the Toronto area -- a couple of hundred years ago, of course, when there wasn't a lot to it. Apologies for this being brief.
